Hey I'm Jenna, welcome to The Tone Curve
My first ever "job" was walking around my little country town in SE Qld, with my best mate offering to wash people's cars for $2 a pop. Looking back at how dirty some of those cars were, we might have been undercharging.
It may not have been the best business plan but it did allow me to save up enough to but my first film camera at the local chemist for $17, before retiring from the car washing industry for good.
You may be wondering, what the hell is a tone curve? Let me explain by using a fancy word that I'm still not 100% sure how to pronounce. CHIAROSCURO - It's definition? The use of strong contrast between light and shadow.
In digital photography to achieve this effect we use something referred to as "The tone curve". My style has been referred to as contrasty, bold and dramatic so I thought "The Tone Curve" was kinda fitting.
